Here are some of nuut’s current iso-streaming obsessions, and our secret recipe for healthy chocolate popcorn.

Our latest Netflix love is a compelling insight into a strict and secretive Hasidic Jewish community in Brooklyn. It follows the true story of 19-year-old Esty Shaprio who escapes to Berlin from her home and loveless marriage. (Netflix)

 

The Secrets She Keeps



Thrill seekers should tune into this Australian six-part ‘domestic noir’ series about the unlikely friendship between two pregnant women, their desire for the perfect life, and their dark and deadly secrets. So good it will keep you all night. (10Play)

 

Sex Education



We inhaled season 3 of Sex Education, a super cool and very funny series that follows the lives, insecurities, and sexual hang-ups of the students, parents, and teachers of Moordale High School.  Apart from a fantastic story line and sharp script, the Welsh countryside is breathtakingly gorgeous and the set design fabulously quirky. A must-watch. (Netflix)

 

Don’t F**K With Cats



The disturbing story of one of Canada’s most infamous crimes, the murder of Lin Jun killed by narcissist Luka Magnotta, who courted internet infamy before the murder by circulating videos of himself killing kittens. A hard to watch but extraordinarily well-made documentary. (Netflix)

 

The Gamechangers



A revolutionary documentary about meat, protein and strength, and the benefits of plant-based eating for athletes. The film follows the story of mixed martial arts fighter James Wilks who whilst in recovery for an injury, explores the science behind omnivorous and vegan diets. His findings are so profound, he travels the world to discuss his findings with elite plant-eating athletes.  Truly thought provoking, this doco has the nuut tick of approval. (Netflix)

Naturally, our go-to is our completely delicious nuut chocolate popcorn. Less than 50 calories per serve, it’s satisfying, gives great crunch and is super good for you too.


nuut chocolate popcorn

Ingredients:
1/4 cup popcorn kernels
2 tablespoons nuut (whichever blend you prefer)
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons coconut sugar
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
What to do:
1. Prepare popcorn in a popcorn maker or on the stove top. in a small bowl, add the nuut, cayenne pepper, coconut sugar and sea salt and combine.

2. place the popped popcorn in a large bowl and coat with the nuuty mixture. toss well until evenly coated and enjoy.
Serves 2.
